Participants coming to Turkey for the conference may require a visa. Whether you need a visa depends on your nationality, the passport you hold, and current Turkish entry requirements. We strongly recommend that all international attendees check their country’s visa requirements — or contact the nearest Turkish embassy / consulate — well before making travel plans.
What Visa Types Apply?
For conference attendance, common visa types include:
- Conference / Business Visa — suitable if you’re attending or presenting at the conference.
- Short-Term Visa / e-Visa — for participants from countries eligible for electronic visas, if the stay is short and no work is involved.
Make sure to select the appropriate visa category based on your purpose of visit.
How to Request an Invitation Letter
Registered conference participants can request an official Invitation Letter to support their visa application. The letter will be issued by the conference organizers.
To request, please email the Secretariat with:
- Full name (as per passport)
- Passport number and nationality
- Country of residence
- Institution / Affiliation
- Position / Title
- Date of birth
We issue Invitation Letters only after registration is completed and payment confirmed.
Required Documents for Visa Application
When applying for a Turkish visa (in connection with the conference), you may need to submit:
- Valid passport — with at least 6 months validity and free blank pages, as per Turkish visa requirements.
- Visa application form (filled out correctly)
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Official Invitation Letter from the conference
- Conference registration receipt / proof of payment
- Flight bookings (round-trip, showing arrival and departure dates)
- Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or address)
- Bank statements / proof of sufficient funds as required by consulate guidelines
- Travel / medical insurance (if required by your embassy)
Important Notes & Disclaimers
- The Invitation Letter does not guarantee visa approval — final visa decisions are made by the relevant Turkish embassy or consulate.
- Visa requirements (documents needed, form, biometric data, fees) vary by nationality and consulate — always double-check with your local consulate well in advance.
- Ensure all personal data (name, passport number, travel dates) submitted match exactly with your passport and other documents.
- Submit your visa application at least 4–6 weeks before travel to accommodate processing delays and avoid last-minute issues.

Notes for Turkish Visa Applicants
- Citizens of many countries are eligible for e-Visa to travel to Turkey. If eligible, applying online may be quicker than traditional visa application.
- For business or conference visas, an official Invitation Letter from the conference organizer is often required.
If you are applying from a country with stricter requirements, be prepared to submit additional documents (proof of financial means, accommodation, return ticket, etc.).
